This is remarkable Owen, what a fantastic project to stumble upon. I live in a national park here in the UK and always find it interesting how new ideas for attracting visitors are arrived at and how the money is spent. Safe to say we have nothing on this scale or as far out there as this. I look forward to seeing the project unfold, I know I could visit your website but I’m a fan of delayed gratification. Thank you Dave! I think Mission 66 was a pretty radical program, even for the US to be honest. To fit that much construction into a 10 year period in what I imagine are tough places to build in, is hugely impressive and something that sadly feels unlikely to happen again any time soon.

I have to say, though, that some of the images in the fog actually added really well to the project. The atmosphere adds to that other-worldly feel to the scene. Lovely work.
Thanks Michael! Yeah, the National Parks alone are so different to those in the UK, especially the fairly dull part of the South East where I grew up! Add in some unusual architecture to that and it basically made a project I couldn't resist!
Inclined to agree with you about the foggy images too - will need to see them side by side in print, but I think they'll work!
Owen - This is terrific. I love the narrative and will look at photos when I am not on a plane! My girls plan to stop in the Smokey Mountains on their drive back to NYC from Colorado later this year - so will share this with them!
